Please bring water, a yoga mat, and a towel. We have cold filtered water to refill your canteen and extra mats if you require one. Wear light, breathable clothing and come with a wide open heart and smile for your facilitator.

What Are Your Kid Camp Studio Policies?2025-06-16T13:36:15-07:00

Sickness

I agree that if my child is sick (cough, cold, runny nose, vomiting etc), has a fever or communicable illness that would causes them to need more care than can be given without impacting the health, wellbeing and safety of other children, I will keep them at home.

Medical Consent

By signing on behalf of a minor child, I give permission to Steady Effort Yoga Wellness Sound and its staff to provide first aid and all medical care deemed necessary in the event of injury and to transport the child to a medical facility if needed for the well being of the child.

Behavioural Policy

We want everyone at Steady Effort Yoga Wellness Sound to have a fun and safe experience. In order to accomplish this, your child is required to maintain the following behavioural standards

#1: Listen to the teacher for their safety and the safety of others
#2: Have permission to be on the aerial hammocks and other equipment in the studio
#3: Have permission to touch or use the sound healing instruments throughout the studio
#4: Will not push, shove, kick, scratch, bite etc. another student, no horseplay please

If your child chooses not to practice our behavioural standards, they will have to sit out of class and may result in them being released from remaining classes without reimbursement.

You acknowledge that you have discussed these behavioural policies with your child.

Photo/Video Release

I acknowledge that my photo/video, and/or my child/children’s photo/video or personal likeness may be taken while participating in events with Steady Effort Yoga Wellness Sound. I give permission for my and/or my child/children’s likeness to be used for promotional uses on media and advertising platforms without payment or monetary claims, both at this time or at a later date.

Fees/Cancellation

Camp fees are due 14 days prior to camp start date. If you need to cancel after the camp fee payment has been processed, a credit may be available for future use. Credits expire after 6 months.

Available Parking:

  • You may always park in unnumbered spots and spots labeled 106.
  • After 4:00pm and on weekends you may park in spots labeled 107 & 108 at the front of building.
  • Parking along Dartmouth on either side of the road.
  • There is additional parking at the back of the building.
  • Please do not park in spaces labeled 105 = Penticton CrossFit.

You sure do not! Aerial Yoga, Restorative Aerial Yoga or Aerial Fitness is a fun and engaging way to move your body at any age and fitness ability. For many people aerial yoga is more accessible than traditional yoga and the classes are designed to help you gain strength and flexibility at your own rate. Aerial yoga combines the elements of play and fitness so if you’re looking for a unique way to stay active while having fun, this might be the ticket!

The hammocks are also a jewelry & watch free zone. Please remove all jewelry & watches before arriving.

Please wear snug, comfortable clothing that is free of zippers, velcro, buttons and embellishments of any kind or anything that may snag or tear the hammock material.

Sleeved shirts covering your armpits and stomach and leggings covering your knees are recommended.

Please refrain from applying lotions and oils on the day of the class.

Please trim/file fingernails if needed.

Tie hair back

A full stomach of food is not recommended.

We always have complimentary beverages at the ready but please feel free to bring your own water canteen. We have a water station for refilling.

How Do I Book a Class with a Punch Pass?2025-05-30T14:27:46-07:00

To book an aerial class with a 5, 10 or 20 punch pass, you will purchase your punch pass first. This creates a Square account with us and then you can use it to book a class or session. Visit our Schedule and choose your class. When you check out and enter your phone number, you will be texted a code to login to your account. If the class you chose is eligible to use the punch pass it will show up as a Package option and you can see details of how many passes you have remaining and when they expire. Review the checkout cart to ensure it is correct and book the class.

 

Can I Create My Own Custom Wellness Package?2025-05-30T14:28:27-07:00

Absolutely! This is our favourite thing to do.

A Custom Yoga & Wellness Experiences is a unique experience for you and your group that is curated around your interests, your tastes or your special event.

Combine Any of the Following for Your Unique Event:

Experience durations and costs are variable based on what type of activities you choose to do and for how long you want to do them. You can choose 1 or any combination of activities, kind of like choosing your own wellness adventure! For example:

A local dental office requested a team building day for their staff. They settled in by all helping make a herbal friendship tea to drink, explored animal oracle cards and shared our most current read book. They were then led through a moving chocolate meditation followed by crafting their own essential oil diffusing gemstone bracelets. The workshop was topped off with a 1 hour yoga class and all left with ‘thank you for coming’ take home friendship tea. This experience was for 12 people and took 4 hours.

A woman wanted all of her favourite people together to celebrate her, 37th ‘Hippie Birthday to Me’ themed birthday party. After all of her friends arrived and got settled they began by co-creating a tie-dyed tank top for her to take home. While they snacked and shared a cup of tea they learned about the aerial hammocks and got to choose their favourite colour to play in. The group was led through a beginners aerial class to get the wiggles out in preparation for an anti-gravity sound journey (sound bath using a variety of instruments while floating in hammock). All friends were sent home with birthday girl themed book marks, stickers and a tumbled gemstone of choice. This experience was for 7 people and took 2 hours.

What is Mindful Crafting?

Mindful crafting is a moving meditation practice that brings you into the present moment. It pairs traditional meditation’s acts and goals with calm, repetitive movements. Instead of sitting still and your mind monkeying about, mindful crafting requires slow and deliberate movements.  It is an opportunity to connect with your creative self and gain a deeper appreciation for your finished project.

Moving meditations and mindful crafting have the ability to distract our thinking, rational mind and the “crafting” process (painting, knitting, beading etc) brings us to the present and into the creative frequency which is inherently a higher vibration.

Mindful crafting is a fun, creative way to bring mindfulness practices into your day and it is a gentle introduction to a more traditional meditation practice. It is also good for those who have a hard time sitting still or find peace in action.

By slowing down and dedicating time and energy to each step of building your project, you are able to fully experience and savour the actions.

Sound Healing is used to alleviate symptoms caused by many conditions and everyone’s experience is different. A common response is a very relaxed and peaceful feeling whereas some people have visualizations and emotional breakthroughs. New things may emerge in each sound session.

Invite your group of friends, family, co-workers, staff or students to enjoy this experience with.

Choose how you will allow your body to rest for the duration of the sound bath:

  • Build a nest on the floor (mats, blankets, bolsters, cushions) and settle in OR
  • Relax in your favourite chair or on a sofa OR
  • Float weightlessly in an aerial hammock (please inquire)

Move your body through a few basic stretches to get the wiggles out allowing your body to slow down and settle for the sound journey (optional).

Experience a mind, breath and body connection, deep relaxation of the body and mind through an array of instruments and enter a restorative state for energy healing and transformation.

Receive a break from electronic devices as they are silenced or turned off.

Opportunity for self-reflection and community connections before and after the sound journey over tea, oracle cards and journaling.

Aerial Yoga, Restorative Aerial Yoga or Aerial Fitness is a fun way to move your body at any age. A silk hammock suspended from above is used in a variety of ways to support and help practice traditional yoga poses as well as put a new spin on them. For many people aerial yoga is more accessible than traditional yoga. From hip & shoulder openers, inversions, and balances, to core work, deep dynamic stretches and spine decompression, aerial yoga offers new and diverse ways to connect with your body and breath.

Anyone can attend an aerial class if they are mindful and respectful of their own conditions, with a few exceptions. We do not recommend aerial to people who have unmedicated very high or low blood pressure, easy onset vertigo, pregnancy, glaucoma, recent surgery, heart disease, osteoporosis, bone weakness, recent head injury, cerebral sclerosis, propensity for fainting, artificial hips, carpal tunnel syndrome, severe arthritis, sinusitis or head cold, recent stroke or botox or filler injections (within 2 weeks).

Benefits of Aerial Yoga include and are not limited to:

  • Improves blood circulation and moves stagnant blood in the body helping fight heart disease
  • Stimulates digestion through different kinds movement and stretches
  • Hanging freely upside down (inverting) eases hip joint tension and allows the body and spine to lengthen, realign and decompress
  • Flushes lymphatic & circulatory systems to help detoxify the body
  • Offers a support tool to create stabilization for standing poses and assistance in deepening stretches
  • Improves flexibility and increases strength
  • Calms the nervous system & relieves stress in your hammock cocoon

Please read through the following cautions for sound healing and consult your doctor prior to a sound experience if any of the below contraindications are applicable to your health: Pregnancy, epilepsy, implanted cardiac pacemaker, artificial heart valve, stent, shunt or defibrillator, cardiac arrhythmias, carotid atherosclerosis, carotid stenosis, deep brain stimulation device (DBS), thrombi, open wounds, acute inflammations and tumours, metallic implant and screws, artificial joints, whiplash

Everything on Earth and up into the heavens and beyond has a vibratory motion that creates sound, whether our human ears hear it or not. From the tiniest mosquito wings to the largest planet, we all have a vibrational frequency.

Our overall state of health is produced by the steady relationships between our body, mind and spirit. If these relationships are out of sync with each other, then a cycle of dis-ease and impairment could arise. Sound therapy helps to intervene and break the cycle creating an opportunity for our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual bodies to re-connect in harmony with one another.

Please understand that 12 hours notice is required to cancel a class and receive credit/class back into your account. This gives others on the waitlist time to sign up. Please book your class prior to arrival to ensure there is space. Workshops and series are non-refundable once booked but we will transfer it to your friend if you send them in your place. Please contact the studio via email if there is a medical emergency.

We require a booking deposit for your upcoming experience with us.

As soon as we receive your booking deposit, our effort and time are spent on creating your event. For this reason, please take the time to read and understand our private group booking cancellation policy.

You may cancel a booking up to 30 days before the event date and will be refunded your booking deposit, minus our service fee of 10% of the total booking cost plus any fees incurred by our payment processors such as Square, which remain payable to us and will be deducted from your deposit.

If you cancel a booking between 7 days and 30 days before the event date, you will be refunded 50% of your booking deposit, minus our service fee of 10% of the total booking cost plus any fees incurred by our payment processors such as Square, which remain payable to us and will be deducted from your deposit.

If you cancel a booking within 7 days of the event date, your booking deposit will not be refunded.

Many of our events sell out. For this reason, we request that you cancel at least 48 hours before your scheduled event. This will allow us to offer your spot to others. You may transfer your spot to someone else. Please just let us know who to expect in your place and we will make sure they receive important event information and sign any necessary waivers. You may call us at 1-250-488-7324 to cancel or update us on who is coming.

Please note, we do not offer refunds. However, if you give us at least 48 hours notice of your need to cancel, we will credit your payment toward a future event, class or service of your choice.

If the minimum amount of attendees is not met, we will refund you or apply the credit towards your account to go towards any future events, classes or services we provide.

We love dogs and even live with some too, but for the consideration of all participants, please keep your furry loved ones at home. If you would like a custom yoga experience with your pet and a group of friends, please contact us and we’ll create something pawsitively amazing for you!

Absolutely! We super appreciate if you pay by cash or e-transfer.  This saves us paying the middle man credit card processing fees. Please email steadyeffortyoga@gmail.com for easy, seamless no password required money transfers and we will take care of the registration process on our end. We will email you confirmation and all the info you need for a successful yoga, wellness or sound experience with us.
